“J&I were appointed as our preferred contractor to provide perimeter scaffold to our Ropeworks Phase 7 development in Leith, Edinburgh. The main challenge with the perimeter scaffold was to erect as the light gauge steel frame progressed and keeping ahead of the kits progress so that edge protection was always maintained. This was made more challenging as we were able to progress the 2nd block of flats earlier than anticipated, which put more demand on J&I. They were able to maintain adequate resources to keep ahead of our programmed works, delivering materials just in time so space was maintained on site for other trades. J&I provided perimeter scaffold to a further two high rise blocks, Lift shaft scaffolds and internal handrails, always meeting dates required for other trades and have continued to service the site well whilst dismantling the system scaffolds ahead of us progressing our external works during what has been a very demanding time for the industry."
